MUMBAI: India's largest carmaker
Maruti Suzuki will resume production at its plant in
Manesar, Haryana from 12 May, the company said on Wednesday.
"All activities would be carried out strictly in accordance with the Government regulations and guidelines and observing the Company’s own concern for the highest standards of safety," the company said in an exchange filing.
While the plant was granted permission to start with a single shift operation over two weeks ago, it did not immediately resume production due to supply chain constraints. Sources in the know said that the company, however, had started fumigation and maintenance of the factory since then.
According to the permission certificate granted to the company, it was authorised to have a total of 4,696 personnel and 50 vehicles.
