LUCKNOW: UPSRTC has issued guidelines for operation of roadways buses in green zone districts of Uttar Pradesh from Wednesday.
"As of now, only ordinary buses would ply, " said MD of UPSRTC Raj Shekhar.
Buses would ply in all routes of green zone districts. Buses would also ply between two districts in a green zone. Similarly, buses would be available from green zone districts to border districts which are in green zone.
It will be mandatory for passengers to cover their faces with masks, handkerchief or 'gamchha' whichever is available with them.
Without that no boarding would be allowed. Passengers will have to sanitise their hands before they board the bus.
The number of passengers in every bus would be regulated as per the guidelines of the central government.
Every bus would have a 500ml hand sanitiser bottle. Driver and conductor would also cover their faces and conductors would wear gloves as well.
In case there is a change in the zone category of the district, operation of buses would be planned in consultation with the district administration.

Every depot would have a Covid task force in place. Bus stations would have soap and hand sanitiser placed mandatorily.
