The third phase of lockdown has started in the country from today. Something has been eased with the beginning of this phase. The country is divided into three zones Red, Orange and Green zones in terms of corona infection. According to these three zones, the exemption has been given to start different services. From today, liquor shops are opening in almost every zone according to different rules and its wide impact can be seen in the entire country including Delhi-NCR. Since 6 o'clock this morning, a liquor shop in Kondli, situated on the Delhi-Noida border, has been seeing a crowd since this morning. Rules of social distancing are also being blown here. Once, the crowd grew so much that the police intervene.
Since six o'clock in the morning, there is a long line outside the liquor shops. People stand in a circle designed to follow social distance. People are buying and carrying not just one or two bottles of gourmet liquor but many of them have purchased the full boxes of liquor. People were seen standing in long queues outside a liquor store in Laxmi Nagar after the Delhi government allowed liquor sales in standalone shops, neighbourhood shops or residential complexes.
Although the shops were not open since six o'clock in the morning, then people stood in line waiting for the shop to open. When the shop opened, people started shopping for boxes. At the same time, in Noida Sector 18 there is a long line outside the liquor store.
Delhi and other cities including Noida have been crowded outside these shops since morning and no fear of corona is visible among the people.
In the capital of Karnataka, Bangalore, people are waiting for their turn in a long line outside a liquor store. During this time no attention is being paid to social distance.
Following the government's directive to open liquor shops in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, people came to buy liquor in large numbers outside liquor shops.
