Coronavirus in Tamil Nadu: Restrictions removed in six containment zones in Trichy corporation

TRICHY: The Trichy Corporation on Tuesday withdrew six Covid-19 containment zones in the city after these zones completed the mandatory 28-day isolation period. No fresh cases have been reported from these zones.
Since April 5, the Trichy Corporation has established 14 containment zones based on the proximity of houses of Covid-19 patients.
Entry of outsiders into the containment zones was banned, and residents were not permitted to step out of the zones.
As 28 days of quarantine is over, the corporation removed restrictions in three containment zones each in K Abishekapuram and Ponmalai zones.
The urban local body instructed residents to alert it if anyone encountered Covid-19 symptoms.
Similar restrictions in six rural containment zones in Manapparai, Manachanallur and Lalgudi unions and in one containment zone of Thuvakudi municipality have also been withdrawn.
