
JEE Main, NEET 2020 Exam Date LIVE Updates: Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday announced the dates for JEE Main and NEET exams. JEE Advanced is expected to be held in August, dates of which are not decided yet.
The syllabus for JEE Main and NEET 2021 have been curtailed. Pokhriyal urged students to self-study and take the help of digital modes including SWAYAM, Diksha to prepare for entrance exams. With low-connectivity areas, the content will be telecast through SWAYAM Prabha TV, he informed.

Over 9 lakh students have registered to appear for JEE Main and over 15.93 lakh have applied for NEET 2020, as per the National Testing Agency (NTA) – the exam conducting body.
Pokhriyal also said that the dates for CBSE class 10 and 12 exams will be announced soon.
The dates for JEE Advanced will be decided soon, said HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal through a webinar on Tuesday. Only the top 2.5 lakh of JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced
During a live interaction with students today, the HRD Minister said, “Even though IITs and NITs are autonomous and financially self-regulatory institutes, we still had requested them to not take up the annual fee hike for this year considering the coronavirus pandemic. I had asked chairpersons to convey this to all the institute heads and directors and hope that this sentiment would be respected.”
There will be no increase in tuition fees for the upcoming academic year at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced today. If implemented, this would be applicable to all courses, which includes the MTech programmes
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had announced to extend the online application form editing option of JEE Main, NEET, and allowed candidates to choose the exam center of their choice in order to minimise any commute for the examinees and their parents
For the next academic year, students will have to learn a reduced syllabus. The HRD minister informed that the syllabus will be reduced for the upcoming academic session as students have lost valuable academic time. Thus the JEE Main and NEET 2021 will be held on the reduced syllabus
The HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday said that the decison to conduct the remaining papers of CBSE Class 10, 12 will be taken in a day or two. Replying to a student's query, the minister said "The dates of CBSE class 10, 12 examinations will be announced soon, and the decision will be taken in a day or two."

HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said that around 2000 online contents are available at online platform- Swayam, Swayam Prabha. Apart from it, students can take help from the digital library for their study.
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said he will ask his officials to look into this matter. He said he has spoken to NCERT and CBSE directors that no student faces shortage of books.

Due to covid-19, as the academic schedule will start late, the ministry has asked central, state board to reduce syllabus for the commencing academic session, said HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal
UGC has set-up COVID-19 task force and has asked every institute to set-up a covid-19 helpline and force to help students.

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said that the UGC calendar has suggested to conduct the college exams from July 1 and to start new session in August.
"College level exams to be held from July 1 and will try to declare result by July-end so that the session can begin from August. We have asked institutes to be aware about situation in their area. In case an area is still affected in July, they can promote students on basis of previous and internal exams," Nishank said.
Diksha portal has content for different exmas and in different languages. It has interactive curriculum. Students should use e-content, especially under lockdown. The national repository from open universities is also available at the portal, says HRRD
Replying to a query on CBSE exam dates, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said that the decision on board exams will be taken taking cognizance of the situtaions on coronavirus pandemic. The dates will be announced soon
