South Kolkata MP Mala Roy distributes food packets to children in her constituency
KOLKATA: South Kolkata MP Mala Roy is sharing health safety tips with children while providing them food packets amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Roy has been visiting areas in her constituency during the lockdown period to provide relief to the people.
Recently, she handed over 5,900 food packets to the children of slums in Kalighat.
Roy said that she was trying to help as much people as possible and taking care of health-related needs of the poor in her constituency.
"I am also asking them to follow social distancing and health safety norms," she said.
"The chief minister is trying to give ration to all and we are trying to hand over snacks, cakes, biscuits and chips to the children who are unable to buy anything due to the lockdown, " she added.
