42 people with Tablighi links booked

Ghaziabad: Forty two people, who attended the Tablighi Jamaat and did not reveal their travel history to the district administration and the police, have been booked across five police stations in the district.
Ten of those booked are from Karnataka and had been staying in Kaila Bhatta area since the lockdown was announced. The SSP of Ghaziabad, Kalanidhi Naithani, said: “Once police started investigation, they came to know from locals that these people had come to Kaila Bhatta after attending a religious congregation at Nizamuddin in Delhi,” he said.
An FIR has been registered at Kotwali police station. . All 42 tested negative and have been sent to a quarantine centre.
In Greater Noida, 11 men from two Dankaur villages were arrested for allegedly hiding information about attending Nizamuddin Markaz in March. They were tested on April 1 and all reports are negative.
