In another sign that normalcy may be returning to the consumer tech industry in India, OnePlus has partially resumed its sales operations in the country. Over the past few weeks, the country-wide lockdown announced by the government has halted in its tracks the sale and purchase of electronics such as smartphones and TVs.

However, with restrictions now being eased and sale of non-essential goods having been allowed in Green and Orange zones in the country, tech giant OnePlus has started selling its range of OnePlus products, including smartphones and smart TVs via Amazon and its website in select regions of the country. OnePlus has also confirmed that it will be gradually re-opening standalone stores as well, where it hopes to resume sales of its products such as the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

In a statement shared with the media, OnePlus said, "As a company, we will continue to follow government directives in terms of both sales and manufacturing in India... Accordingly, we are gradually re-opening standalone stores in green and orange zones while Amazon.in and OnePlus.in will resume sales in these areas as well. On manufacturing, we will resume production once the MHA provides the green signal. Meanwhile, we urge our employees and others to continue to practice caution and stay safe."

Currently, the company has listed a number of products on its website, however, they remain displayed as "Out of stock" at the moment. However, we can expect this to change in the coming days.

Further, we also expect to see the company announce the availability details of the OnePlus 8 series of phones in the country. The OnePlus 8 series brings two new phones -- the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro -- which were announced earlier last month.

To remind our readers, the prices of the OnePlus 8 series phones start from Rs 41,999 in India (6GB+128GB OnePlus 8). The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the OnePlus 8 is available in Onyx Black and Glacial Green colours. The variant has been priced at Rs 44,999 and will be up for purchase from all online and offline channels.

The highest-end variant of the OnePlus 8 -- 12GB RAM and 256GB storage -- has been priced at Rs 49,999 and will be available in three colours, Onyx Black, Glacial Green and Interstellar Glow. This variant too will be available across online and offline channels.

Coming to the OnePlus 8 Pro, the phone is available in two memory and storage variants, with the entry-level 8GB+128GB one available in Onyx Black and Glacial Green colours across online and offline channels at a price of Rs 54,999. The higher-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage has been priced at Rs 59,999. The variant has been announced to be available in Onyx Black, Glacial Green, and Ultramarine Blue via all online and offline channels.
