Youths oppose reopening of bar, detained

Mysuru: Krishnaraja police took two youths into custody who were protesting in front of a wine store opposing its scheduled reopening on Monday.
The youths, residing in Sunnadakeri, are among many who are not in favour of reopening of the wine store located on Narayana Shastri Road. The excise department staff are preparing for reopening of bars and wine stores in the city as part of easing lockdown restrictions.
Sunnadakeri residents argued with police that Mysuru district is still in the red zone and opening of wine shops will lead to crowding and eventually lead to spread of coronavirus.
