Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has worked to win the hearts of the migrant laborers trapped in the lockdown by taking a big decision in the interest. Sonia Gandhi has announced that now the Congress will bear the cost of their rail fares to take the migrant laborers to their home state.

Various parties, including the Congress, have raised questions on the Modi government at the Center regarding the fare collected by the Railways from migrant laborers. It is noteworthy that during the lockdown period, the Central Government has operated special trains to transport the trapped laborers to their home state in different areas of the country. The fare is being charged by the railway from these laborers.

Because of this, Sonia Gandhi has taken a big decision in the interest of migrant laborers. She told the medium of the tweet that the Indian National Congress has decided that every unit of the State Congress Committee will bear the expenses of the train journey to return home to every needy laborer and worker and take necessary steps in this regard. Her tweet has been shared with the official Twitter handle of Congress.
