Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again held a meeting with all the chief ministers amid lockdowns across the country. Prime Minister Modi discussed the lockdown and the situation arising due to Coronavirus epidemic in the country, PM Modi said in the meeting that the collective efforts by the Center and the states are showing the effect. He said that the lockdown has been effected and we are benefiting from it. PM Modi said that the lockdown has been the most effective in the whole world and India is in a better position than other countries.
But the chief ministers of all states, except two states (Himachal Pradesh and Meghalaya), are in favor of extending the lockdown period to ensure that coronavirus cases remain under control. In the meeting, several states have expressed their support for extending the lockdown period.
If we talk about coronavirus cases, then in the country, more than 27 thousand cases of coronavirus have been reported. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Monday, the total K figure in the country has reached 27892, while 872 people have lost their lives.
