*AMC has included Maninagar ward in the list of red zones. With this, the city now has 10 wards in the red zone. These are Dariapur, Shahpur, Danilimda, Jamalpur, Saraspur, Gomtipur, Behrampura, Khadia, Asarwa and Maningar.
*Several residential societies in Bopal are in the grip of the Covid-19 scare as a cashier of a leading provision store in the area has tested positive for the virus.

*Of the total 3,523 cases reported in Ahmedabad till May 2, 70% were from the 10 hotspots of Ahmedabad. Also, of the total 183 deaths in the city till May 3, 130 have been reported from the hotspots.
*Viay Rupani-led government issued a notification reiterating the status quo over the next two weeks for areas falling under the municipal corporation limits of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Gandhinagar, Rajkot and Bhavnagar. Relaxations will also not be provided in municipal areas of Bopal, Bareja, Godhra, Khambhat and Umreth municipalities.
