Three CRPF personnel were killed Monday in a militant attack at Kralgund area of Handwara, around 80 km north of Srinagar.
“Three causalities are being reported. It was Alfa-92 company,” a CRPF spokesman based in Srinagar told Outlook, adding that security forces have sealed the area and search is on for other attackers.
On Sunday, four Army personnel, including the commanding officer of the Rashtriya Rifles’ 21 Battalion, were killed in an encounter with militants in Handwara. A police officer was also killed in the encounter.
