NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading lower in Monday's session.

Shares of VBL (down 5.91 per cent), Colgate Palmolive (India) (down 4.53 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (down 4.46 per cent), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS (down 4.29 per cent), ITC (down 4.06 per cent), Dabur India (down 4.02 per cent), Jubilant Foodworks (down 3.99 per cent), Godrej Consumer Products (down 2.87 per cent), P & G Hygiene (down 2.43 per cent), Emami (down 2.39 per cent), Nestle India (down 2.37 per cent) and Britannia Industries (down 2.07 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 3.26 per cent down at 27733.25 around 02:27PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 546.60 points at 9313.3 , while the BSE Sensex was down 1907.3 points at 31810.32 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 4 were trading in the green, while 46 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Tata Motors, SBI, IDFC First Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, Vedanta and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
