LUCKNOW: Private offices in the city will remain closed as the third part of nationawide lockdown begins from Monday. While new guidelines issued by the Centre — which UP is following — allows opening of private offices, the district administration has made a few revisions in the light of the present condition of the city which is already in the red zone with 237 Covid cases.
District magistrate Abhishek Prakash said that barring revision in few activities, most of the restrictions will continue as they have been since the lockdown was imposed first on March 25. The chief medical officer will issue detailed order on opening of OPDs in private hospitals and nursing homes as well as clinics by private practitioners.
The revised order isued by the district adminstration specifically mentions that private offices will not be allowed to open and their employees will have to work from home. This is in contrast to new guidelines which allow private offices to operate with up to 33% strength, even in red zones. Regarding government offices including secretariat, officials said, the old system will continue.
Following other guidelines, the district adminstration has granted conditional approval for opening of construction activities and shops in markets, major roads and residential areas. However, no movement will be allowed in
Covid-19 hot spot areas.
