MUMBAI: While liquor shops remained shut in Palghar district on Monday, sale of petrol and diesel was restarted at fuel pumps for the public.
Following the lockdown, fuel was available only for essential services. A few petrol pump owners were even booked for dispensing fuel to the general public.
District collector Dr Kailash Shinde on Monday announced that petrol pumps will be open for all from 7am to 7pm.
So far, two-wheelers used for essential services were allowed to fill two litre petrol a day. Four-wheelers deployed for essential services were given 10 litres fuel a day.
The limit on buying fuel has been removed now.
