Panaji: In view of the 3rd phase of the lockdown, Goa police have issued advisory requesting public to wear face mask, observe social distancing and to stay indoors between 7 pm to 7 am.
The advisory has been issued based on the directions given by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
SP Shobhit Saksena has urged public to cooperate and follow the norms. “There will be pickets and nakabandi points in certain areas. Except for emergencies, people should not move out between 7 pm to 7 am,” said Saksena.
Police in the advisory has said that public transport is working at half the capacity. Use of mask is mandatory in public and observe social distancing, the police said. Do not step out between 7 pm to 7 am, except for emergencies, the police have said in the advisory.
Apart from that in the advisory, the police said that children below the age of 10, pregnant ladies and senior citizens over 65 years of age must not step out.
The advisory has also listed the services that are allowed during the third phase of the lockdown such as barbershops, medical clinics, wine shops and single shops, courier and postal services, e-commerce essentials, agricultural activities, banks and finance institutions, urban industries and construction.
While the services which are not allowed include travel by air, train, metro, interstate road movement, educational institutions, hotels, cinemas, malls, places of worship and large gatherings etc, the police said.
