BENGALURU:
Karnataka saw 11 patients getting discharged by May 3 noon, taking the total count of
discharge patients to 282. With this 46% of the total Covid-19 cases in the state have been discharged, a major relief for the state authorities.
At the same time, five new positive cases were reported by Sunday noon in the state. The cases were reported from
Kalaburgi and Mudhol,
Bagalkote. This included a 13-year-old girl who was in contact with P-532. While four has a contact history with patients, a 41 year old patient in Mudhol is has history of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection. SARI infections have left a trail of worry among the authorities as tracing the source of the infection becomes difficult.
The patients have been admitted in the designated centres in the districts. A death due to non-Covid cause has also been reported.
Till date 606 Covid-19 patients have been confirmed in the state. This includes 25 deaths (plus one due to non-Covod reason) and 282 discharges.
