VARANASI: A youth and his alleged lover committed suicide by jumping in front of a goods train near Kandhia railway crossing gate under Chauri police station in Bhadohi district on Saturday morning.
The incident came to light when a passerby noticed their bodies lying on railway tracks near Kandhiya railway crossing on Varanasi-Janghai line. On getting information, Chauri cops reached the spot. CO Aurai, Lekhraj Singh said matter was being investigated and the bodies had been sent for postmortem. Police said during initial investigation the deceased couple was identified as Sandeep Rajbhar (22) and Kajal (20) of Hirapatti area under Sureri police station of Jaunpur district.
