Amid novel coronavirus lockdown, an automobile mechanic in Tripura has prepared an electric bike keeping in mind social distancing norms. Automobile mechanic, Partha Saha said, “The bike showcases that during lockdown if you want to get out of the house then you must follow social distancing.” He has modified a regular, petrol-run motorcycle by replacing the petrol engine with a 750-Watt DC motor and a 48-volt battery. He used bicycle seats in the front and rear at a one-metre distance. On a single charge, the motorcycle can run 80 kms and he used bicycle seats in the front and rear at a one-metre distance to give the message of social distancing. Partha thinks that this attempt might hopefully promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ program and encourage entrepreneurship.
