Designer Comes Up With Gorgeous Proposal For Alfa Romeo 4C Successor

Alfa Romeo’s launch of the 4C mid-engine sports car in 2013 was met with a wave of enthusiasm.

Alfisti from all over the world finally saw an exciting new product after a long drought, with the 4C symbolically introduced as the model that sparked the brand’s rejuvenation process and re-entry to North America. As exciting as the 4C is to drive and to look at, it didn’t sell in sufficient numbers. This led Alfa Romeo to stop sales of the 4C coupe in North America in 2018.

At the time of writing, the 4C Spider remains on sale in the U.S., but there’s no trace left of any 4C variant on Alfa Romeo’s customer websites in Europe.

With sports cars’ catastrophic sales drop in recent years, the coronavirus pandemic and Alfa Romeo parent company FCA’s merger with PSA, it’s safe to say we won’t see a second-generation 4C sports car anytime soon – if ever.

However, that won’t stop Alfa Romeo fans from dreaming and, fortunately, some of them can transform their dreams into renderings. That’s exactly what Yung Presciutti, an architect and vehicle designer, did with his vision of a new Alfa Romeo 4C.

He describes his creation as “bold and emotional,” something it’s hard to argue with. At the front, the transportation stylist went for a radical design, dominated by a pair of massive elliptical headlights and Alfa Romeo’s grille. Also part of the front visual identity is the aggressive bumper split into two parts.

The side looks equally dramatic thanks to the massive fenders, the doors sculpted by the generous air intakes and lower aero elements, as well as the helmet visor-like wraparound windshield.

At the back, the three-dimensional round taillights are covered by tiny spoilers that flow from the rear haunches, with a gigantic rear diffuser that integrates two round exhausts completing the view. What’s not to like?
