KANPUR: A man strangled his wife to death after she allegedly refused to breastfeed their child in Bithoor area of the district on late Friday night.
The accused has been identified as Mahendra who is now in police custody and the victim is his wife Puja (21).
According to police, the murder was fallout of a dispute wherein Puja had refused to breastfeed her four-month child on late Friday night. “Later, Mahendra had argued with his wife over issue.
In a fit of rage, he thrashed Puja and later strangled her to death,” said CO Kalyanpur Ajay Kumar. tnn
