MUMBAI: Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, here comes some positive news. A batch of 55 coronavirus patients walked out of the government hospital in Bhayandar much to the relief of the doctors, on Saturday.
The Pandit Bhimsen Joshi hospital in Bhayandar (west) that has turned into a Covid-19 hospital was filled with claps and cheering as men, women and minors, with masks and bags in hand, stepped out of the hospital at around 11am.
The medical team cheered for the patients. This is the first time after the pandemic struck in the Mira-Bhayandar region, that such a large number of coronavirus patients got discharged on a single day.
Till Friday, the total number of coronavirus patients discharged were 45. With today’s discharge, the total number of persons discharged has gone to 110.
There are 161 Covid-19 positive cases. The region has reported 3 deaths.
