The coronavirus-triggered lockdown has saved the country from "a lot of agony", notwithstanding the subdued economic activity during the period, State Bank of India Chairman Rajnish Kumar said, while talking ET NOW's Nikunj Dalmia. Kumar said as long as the lockdown continues, economic activity will remain tepid, but "demand should be there in the economy" and the question of logistics can be taken care of. He said, "Will take some time for the economy to return to normal. No crisis or loss of confidence within the banking system."
