In a scenario like this, the pandemic, invariably the comments and opinions are driven by the limited knowledge/ inflated bias due to self interest or knowledge of specific domain only. To top it when we add shreds of politics or ideological beliefs, that gives rise to numerous options. In such an environment it is difficult to identify the best option for the country/ region. Going by the outcomes of the exercise carried out till now, there is no doubt, the situation has been handled by the govt of the day in most meticulous manner. The accolades pouring in from every quarter and the stats bear testimony to that. The first priority of govt was to save lives, under extreme circumstances, when the knowledge about COVID19 itself was scanty besides the wherewithal/ infra to handle it. But it has been managed wonderfully till date. Having gained the knowledge and equipped itself to take the Covid19 head on, as also having created the mass awareness, it is absolutely justified for the govt to shift focus towards livelihood i.e. economics. After a 54 days complete lockdown, it is obvious the economy will take time to gallop, which was already under stress before Covid, due to global slowdown. The battle against Covid is not yet over, and it may show spikes in case of insane rush for business activities, hence a graduated response is the best, with enough leeway for state/ local administration to keep things under control. it will be foolhardy to expect immediate returns.

tommorws relaxations in Delhi by Cm will be counter productive and BJP netas will blame Kejrival for his relaxation which is not genuine.Delhi is not ready for that now. Every body has got the experience of Kerala's relaxation and reversing the same.

we are beating around the bush as our policy makers have no clue about how much of our population is healthy . It is like saying what the govt gives is the final truth . Suggest first determine how much of your workforce is healthy and make the healthy population start economical activities while you treat the unhealthy workforce . This is doable and logical should use mathematical models for forecasting and decision making in this way we would save both lives and livelihood .

The Central Govt. should realise that Lockdowns are not working as the rising figures tell us.The lockdown is only killing our Economy and rendering millions of people jobless. The bureaucrats are having a field day by prescribing funny and bizarre rules and restrictions to enforce the lockdown.GOD save India.

Lets see how things unfold in the coming week and then depending on feedback, Centre & States / UT shall decide which zones colour to be changed/ retained and what relaxations to be given to which districts, respectively. it would have been a good idea to make containment zones and concentrate resources in these zones instead of making entire cities as red zones . the way people are not following distancing norms and the inability of the police force to curb this due to being overstretched and fatigued , it is proving counterproductive . after all the police are also human , they too will get tired . INCREASE CONTAINMENT ZONES AND FOLLOW ALL NORMS RELIGIOUSLY IN THESE ZONES , open the economy in places relatively unaffected by COVID

We got to come out of such lock downs whether soft or hard. It's not that the the Government should decide on lock downs but it will be the virus who will have a final say. We must face the reality and come out to restore BAU. Such lockdowns will only trigger timidity and apprehension .

Let offices work with 25%-50% staff in office. Even different offices may work in different shifts starting from 6 AM to 10 AM and ending from 2 PM onward.

Impasse will continue even after 3.0 lock down. Another one year we have to wear masks and social distance to save our lifes. Government totally clueless and worried about crony corporates bottom line. Inflation dizzy heights but interest rates downturn killing senior citizens and middle class livelihoods. Life saving drugs panic buying and short supply in the market. Even branded calcium tablets scarce commodity. People hardships day by day worsening.

The lockdown in India is not successful as the daily increase in numbers tell us. So it would have been better to lift the lockdown with adequate restrictions, otherwise, more people will die of hunger and our Economy will be destroyed. The Government must give a roadmap as to when normal economic activity will be allowed to carry on as millions of people are suffering as the Govt. is only extending the lockdown without extending any support to the people as Governments in other countries doing.

The lockdown would have proved more effective if, as just before removing article 370 all tourist were asked to leave J&K and even Amarnath Yatra was stopped midway,same way all migrants,tourists students and Markas participants should have been given 3 days time and asked to go back to their native places before declaring Lockdown.This would have reduced the number of Covid-19 cases to a great extent.Now running special trains for the migrant workers and students may not have much impact in containing Covid-19.But a good move though late.

Better the lock down of the country is lifted at the earliest . India was expecting additional aid and that is also sanctioned by us. Waiting for what reason's are not known. covid cannot be controlled until and unless the slums are kept clean .Many other deceases are going to crop in even after lifting the lockdown.

When the economy was fully open it could not take off, now this lockdown has ensured further dowward spiral which is irreversible.

(1) Guidelines are being changed every day and confusing. Some shops are allowed to open at each zone. But there are restrictions on private vehicles and cabs use. How does this help shopkeeper or buyer? (2) People are being asked to stay at home. How do they earn money? Employer cannot pay without work. Everyone cannot work remotely. Govt has not no scheme or means to transfer direct benefit to every household unlike advanced countries.

Bahar niklo toh har bande aur surface se darr lagta hai, never know what is infected. Lockdown extend karna zaruri hai, but making it easier is equally important. We should be able to order things online and get it delivered.

Implementation of guidelines rests on district collectors. Districts are used to classify them into red,orange and green except in the case of metropolitan cities. Present guidelines allow industrial activities in rural areas and consumer demand is initiated in green and to some extent in orange zones. This would nudge the needle of industrial activities and economy. the graded response to open up lock down is welcome from the point of view of controlling mortlit. The contra example is the case of US and some European countries.

More the number of zones more will be the difficulty in implementing them. There should be only two zones, Red and Green.

Since Center is making a hash of opening the economy, they could have at least done it colorfully. Why use only 3 colours. More specific details could have been added, creating less confusion. (eg: whole Mumbai district cannot be ‘RED’ just because of some slum area cases). But it seems like Govt. doesn’t have much vision. They are obviously Colour Blind

Lockdown extension is not a solution, we need ghar ka samaan also, but we are afraid to go out and get them. Eagerly waiting for ecommerce to start delivering so that we can order everything we need without going out.

It is indeed confusing, could have been simpler. for example, ecommerce could have been started full fledgedly in all zones which could allow people to get what they want without having to step out of their homes.

Objective of lockdown is more to save lives even at the cost of economic growth. With hardly 50,000 ventillators and limited ICUs, treating Corona patients in large numbers may lead to a dangerous situation where patients may have to be chosen and treated. Lockdown has been lifted to a great extent in green and orange zones. This may be extended to red zones excluding containment areas. People dying due to starvation as it is made out is not true as our godowns are full and we are expecting good harvest and good monsoon as well.

Economists have their own priorities and Health officials have their own. The terms and conditions of lockdown is getting complicated and government officials are not capable of implementing the restrictions/relaxations. Police could not release the seized vehicles in Bangalore. A dead body was shifted from Mumbai to a village Karnataka and has spread the infection to four family members.Migrant workers, neither can live in shelter homes nor can afford to travel to their homes.

Instead of the naming the Lockdown-3 an extension,we could say it is an experiment before our exit from the total lockdown. Transport of migrant labourers by special train and bus,trains to main pilgrim centers and truck movements are of the few trials before lifting the total lockdown.My request to PM,Modiji and CMs of states/UTs to workout a feasibility for issuing a face mask along with ticket to the passengers of all modes of transport from May,18,2020 to Dec,31,2020.The people who do online reservation could collect the face mask at their boarding station.The subsidized cost of the face mask could be collected from the passengers of A/c coach passengers of train,luxury bus, air andwater ways.Mandatory wearing of mask for a period of six months could make a tangible achievement in India's battle against Covid19.

Mr Rob, Pakistan you mentioned in your comment has performed 10,000 tests till date in the whole country. Same is the issue with all neighbors. What you need is more education and GK which you get by reading newspapers regularly and actually use your brain cells instead of just relying on numbers. Govt is taking its que from the pandemic situation in the west. The third lockdown is not at all warranted because now we can see thae death rates in india and the virulence of covid in India. It is not alarming. The deaths are not alarming. The vast areas inthe country and neighbouring Pakistan and Bangladesh are low and is an indicator. Even if the figures are five tomes as much, it is not alarming given the population.India cannot afford such extended lockdowns and we will be saddled with this lameduck Govt which will only be making the corona excuse for its remaining term. They think the people will forget the mismanagement!
