Many things related to your everyday life have changed since 1 May. This includes changes in LPG cylinders, railways, and ATMs. You need to know about them.
Pensioners will get a full pension
The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) will start giving full pension from May to those who opted for commutation at the time of retirement. The system of full pension will be re-implemented 15 years after retirement to ThaiPFO employees. If an employee retires on 1 May 2005, he will get more pension after 15 years i.e. from 1 May 2020.
This move would benefit 630,000 pensioners every month and cost the government Rs 1,500 crore when it faces a crisis caused by the outbreak of coronavirus and the associated nationwide lockdown.
Employers are currently required to file PF returns and pay dues simultaneously.
ATM Rules
A new system for ATMs will be put in place to prevent coronavirus infection. According to the new rule, an ATM will be cleaned after every use to make it infection-free. It has been started in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and Chennai in Tamil Nadu. In the hotspot, now the municipal corporation will clean an ATM twice a day. If sanitation rules are not followed, the ATM room will be sealed.
Railways made changes to the rules The
railways have changed some rules due to coronavirus. These rules will apply when the railway service starts. According to the new rule, passengers can change their boarding station up to 4 hours before the reservation chart is made. According to the current rule, passengers could change boarding stations up to 24 hours in advance.
LPG price cheaper
From May 1, the price of non-subsidized LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 162. According to oil marketing companies, these new rates have come into effect from today.
