3 cops outside Uddhav’s residence test positive

MUMBAI: Three constables stationed outside Matoshree, the personal residence of chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, tested positive for Covid-19 and were quarantined in Santacruz, sources said. Two had completed night shift and went to home on Friday morning, while the third resumed duty in the morning.
Early April, over 130 security staff at Matoshree were quarantined as a precautionary measure after a tea vendor whose stall they frequented tested positive. On April 19, an assistant inspector stationed at Varsha, the CM’s official residence, had tested positive, after which seven female officers and two female constables in contact with her were quarantined. A constable at the official residence of leader of Opposition in assembly, Devendra Fadnavis, had also tested positive.
