As part of the government's new strategy to deal with the epidemic, emphasis will be laid on creating micro (small) containment zones in the Red Zone districts. Its purpose is to identify people better in less time. These zones will be built in streets, neighborhoods, or societies. Teams of medical workers will conduct door-to-door surveys in these areas.
On Friday, Luv Kumar Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry, said, 733 districts are divided into red, orange, and green zones. The supply of essential commodities in the Red and Orange zones will continue as before. Small container zones will now be built in these districts. The containment zone will also have a buffer zone. This will be the entire area under its purview.
All flu patients like colds, colds, fever, and respiratory patients coming in the buffer zone will be identified and their caved test is done. In these zones, the corona examination of the people will also be done as per the protocol already decided by ICMR.
He said that now the fight is to block the chain of expansion. For this, a campaign will be launched to find out every possible infected person and who came in contact with him. The areas where the infected patients are in will be analyzed.
Its entire command will remain with the district administration. If no new case comes in 21 days, then it will be turned into a green zone. In such a situation, special teams will also be deployed along with implementing strict norms. These teams will go door to door to investigate. The focus of these teams will be on medical management, investigation, and survey, etc.
