The government staff travelling from Curchorem to Panaji via Ponda or via Margao is facing inconvenience due to ‘faulty’ timing of the KTC buses.

Since the opening of the government offices in the state during the lockdown period, 3 KTC buses depart from Curchorem KTC bus stand and carry medical staff to Hospicio hospital, Margao and GMC hospital,  Bambolim.

One leaving at 7.15 am and other leaving at 8 am, the buses transport the medical staff to Hospicio hospital while the third bus leaving at 7.30 am ferries the medical staff to GMC hospital. These staffs are exempted from paying the bus fair.

Another two buses, leaving the KTC bus stand in Curchorem at 7.45 am and 8 am, ferry government servants to Margao. Third bus, which leaves at 8 am and goes to Margao via Macazana, also ferries government servants. All the government servants who travel by KTC buses are required to pay the bus fare.

Another two buses which go to Panaji via Ponda leave at 7.50 am and 8 am. The government servants have demanded that the departure timing of the buses should be changed and they should be before 7 or at 7 am so that the government employees can reach their offices in time.

In the afternoon to ferry the medical staff, who work on shift basis, two KTC buses leave from Curchorem at 1.15 pm and 5.30 pm.

To facilitate government servants from Sanguem-Neturlim areas in reaching home in the evening, one KTC bus leaves from Curchorem at 6.45 pm. Similarly, another bus leaves at 6 pm to transport government servants to Molem side.
