Parthala shut: Six societies likely to be hit

NOIDA: Services provided to about 10,000 families staying in six housing societies spread across sectors 119, 120 and 122 are likely to get hit now that Parthala village in Sector 122 has been cordoned off.
The measure was taken after a 35-year-old man from the village tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.
Most housekeeping, security and maintenance staff members working in societies like Gaur Grandeur, Amrapali Zodiac, Eldeco Amantran, Prateek Laurel, Amrapali Platinum and RG Residency are from Parthala village. Several milkmen, drivers, plumbers and electricians from the village also work in these apartment complexes, which are in Green zone.
The complexes are planning to arrange for accommodation for a few staff members. “We’ve about 140 support staff. Nearly 50% are from Parthala village. We’re trying to accommodate a few and getting PPE for them ,” said Som Nath Saha, secretary, Gaur Grandeur Apartment Owners Association, Sector 119.
