ACP’s gunman discharged; his wife, 2 cops pass 1st test

Ludhiana: While gunman of late ACP Anil Kohli has been cured of Covid-19, the former officer’s wife and two more cops have tested negative in the first test since contracting the virus.
ACP Kohli had died of Covid-19 on April 18.
A Ludhiana police spokesperson said, “Constable Prabhjot Singh, who was the gunman of ACP Kohli has already been discharged from Ferozepur civil hospital after his both samples tested negative.” SHO Jodhewal sub-inspector Arshpreet Grewal and her driver ASI Sukhdev Singh have also been tested negative in the first and their second sample is being sent for confirmatory test.
“They will be discharged soon after that,” police said.
“Wife of ACP Kohli has also tested negative in the first test and her second sample has been sent for confirmation,” the spokesperson said.
Police said till now 115 Ludhiana police personnel have been tested for Covid-19 who had come in contact with positive persons and all the results have come negative. It added that all these police personnel underwent mandatory quarantine period of 14 days and all of them except 30 have joined back duty and remaining 30 will join back once their quarantine period is over.
