Coronavirus in India: 1993 new cases in last 24 hrs, total tally crosses 35,000 mark

In the last 24 hours, 1993 positive cases reported; the total number of positive cases is now 35,043: Lav Agrawal, Joint Secy, Health Ministry. While briefing to media, Agarwal said 8,888 COVID-19 patients, which is 25.37 per cent of total cases, have recovered so far. He further said,"State and district administration to ensure through focused efforts that 'Red' and 'Orange' zone districts, break the chain of transmission through effective and stringent containment measure."
