Major relaxations unlikely in city for some more time
With the number of Covid-19 cases continuing to rise, officials said Delhi might not get any major relaxations from the lockdown for some more time. Sources said the steady increase in cases because of several asymptomatic patients and no clear source of infection emerging in the last few days present a grim picture. Any relaxation in the lockdown protocol could worsen the situation.
1077 to serve as helpline for senior citizens
Delhi chief secretary Vijay Dev on Thursday directed the revenue department to use its existing number 1077 as a helpline for senior citizens to provide them help related to Covid-19. In his order, the chief secretary also issued directions for an online application that can register grievances of senior citizens.
