Portland Strip Club Opens Drive-Thru To Drum Up Business During Pandemic

The coronavirus has forced businesses to adapt, but one strip club in Oregon got creative as they opened a risqué drive-thru.

Dubbed “Food 2 Go-Go,” the service is the brainchild of Shon Boulden who owns Portland’s Lucky Devil Lounge. When the state went into lockdown in March, Boulden turned to takeout orders.

Of course, as the saying goes, no one goes to a strip club for the food. Boulden then joked about increasing sales by having their food delivered by strippers and the tweet went viral. As he told Reuters, “All of a sudden, a light bulb went off in my head and I said, ‘I think we should do this.’”

As a result, the Lucky Devil Lounge now offers two unique options including a drive-thru tent with pole dancers wearing “sequined masks and gloves, and little else but nipple paisties, G-string bikini bottoms and stiletto boots.” Customers can also get their food delivered by dancers who are “accompanied by bouncers to enforce proper social distancing.”

Both services cost an extra $30 (£24 / €27), but it appears drive-thru customers get a bonus as some are presented with prizes ranging from toilet paper to cannabis.

Boulden told the publication the “response has been awesome,” but they’re still only making a sixth of their traditional revenue. Unfortunately, that means most employees are only making minimum wage.

However, people seem to enjoy the drive-thru strip club and some have reportedly traveled nearly 200 miles (322 km) just to see it.
