Saturday's weather: Fire warnings for the Northern and Western Cape

It will be another cool day across the country on Saturday - but there are fire warnings for the Northern and Western Cape, the South African Weather Service says

Warnings: 

There is an extremely high chance of fire conditions over the northern central parts of the Northern Cape as well as the Beaufort West and Laingsburg municipalities in the Western Cape.

The weather in your region:

Gauteng will be fine and cool. The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

In Mpumalanga, there will be morning fog along the escarpment and the on the Highveld, otherwise fine and cool but warm on the Lowveld.

There will be morning fog along the escarpment of Limpopo, otherwise fine and warm but hot in the Limpopo valley.

North West will be fine and cool to warm.

The Free State will be fine and cool.

It will be cloudy and cool along the coast where there will be morning fog in the Northern Cape, otherwise fine and warm.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the morning, becoming moderate southerly to south-easterly.

The Western Cape will be cloudy and cool with fog over the west and south-west coast in the morning, otherwise fine and warm. It will become cloudy in the south-west in the evening with rain from late evening.

The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly along the south coast at first, while it will be moderate southerly to south-westerly north of Saldanha Bay, otherwise moderate to fresh westerly to north-westerly, strong at times in the afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index is moderate.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in places along the coast in the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate north-easterly, becoming moderate south-westerly in the west by mid-morning, spreading eastwards.

The eastern half of the Eastern Cape will be fine and cool but warm along the coast.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly but light and variable in places in the south, where it will become moderate south-westerly at night.

It will be fine and warm in KwaZulu-Natal but cool in the south-west of the province.

The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly north of Richard's Bay in the morning, otherwise moderate north-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
