Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and three service chiefs will hold a press conference on Friday at 6 pm.
Chief of the Defence Staff General Rawat, Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh, Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane and Indian Air Force's Air Chief Marshal Marshal RKS Bhadauria will address the media on important issues, ANI news agency reported.
The three top military brass held a meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday to take stock of the overall preparedness of the armed forces in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. CDS General Rawat was also present at the meeting.
This is the first time the CDS and the three military chiefs are going to hold a joint press conference.
The defence minister is learnt to have enquired the top military brass about their preparedness to deal with the pandemic and measures taken to protect the armed forces personnel against the respiratory disease, PTI news agency reported.
