10 am update: No new infections

The Health Ministry's daily 10 am update for Friday has shown that there has been no new infections in the country of the covid19 virus. The number of patients discharged remains at 73. Total number of infections remains at 116 while the death rate also remains at eight – seven in Trinidad and one in Tobago.

The last patient to be cleared and allowed to go home was on Thursday night from the Home of Football in Couva. The total number of people in step-down facilities is 29, with eight at the Brooklyn Facility in Sangre Grande Centre and 21 at the Home of Football.

Only six patients remain at the Couva Hospital and Multi-training facility. All are ambulatory patients, the ministry said. The ministry said the number of repeated tests stands at 320 with 1,452 unique patient tests completed.

The number of samples sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) for testing remained the same as it was in the Ministry’s 10 pm update on Thursday, at 1,772.
