Religious freedom: India rejects USCIRF report findings, terms as 'biased and tendentious'

Apr 30, 2020, 08:43PM ISTSource: Times Now

After the OIC slammed India saying there is a rise of Islamophobia in the country, the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has downgraded India's status on the issue of religious freedom like Pakistan and North Korea. As per report, the organisation believes that India is not treating the minorities properly. The opposition has got fodder to corner the NDA government. The MEA has rejected the report , saying that the report is "biased and tendentious " and it is putting "misrepresenting facts'' about the country.
