It is being reported that Kapoor's daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani has sought special permissions from the Ministry of Home Affairs to travel to Mumbai from Delhi. Whereas, Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are said to have reached the hospital to be with Neetu and Ranbir Kapoor.
"Bhag jaldi Dilli pagal," were the words of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor to Union minister Smriti Irani in 2014 when he came to know that she had been summoned to the national capital take oath after the formation of a new government. Paying a moving tribute to Kapoor, Irani remembered her last meeting with the actor on a movie set.

Rishi Kapoor was a part of Imtiaz Ali's much loved film 'Love Aaj Kal'. Recalling the time he spent with the veteran actor, the filmmaker took to Instagram to share a still from the film and wrote how he was nervous to direct the actor. He also shared a personal memory when Kapoor attended his brother's wedding in Kashmir. Concluding the note, Imtiaz wrote, "I will think he is still there, smiling."
