JALANDHAR: Jalandhar police commissionerate arrested local BJP leader Sheetal Angural and nine others for gambling on Wednesday. The police said they had raided the place of a known liquor smuggler on the Kala Sanghia road and found Angural and nine others gambling.
Angural is the member of the national executive of BJP SC Morcha and is close to former Union minister of state Vijay Sampla.
Later, Angural claimed that he was being falsely implicated in the case.
The police have booked him and others under Section 188 of the IPC and Gambling Act.
