Aldi Australia is set to launch a huge eight litre air fryer for $99.99.

Customers can purchase the new product during the Aldi weekly special buys sale in store from Saturday May 9 - but it's tipped to sell out shortly after hitting shelves.

Air fryers of a similar size from other retailers can set you back as much as $300 each or more, while Kmart's 3.2 litre version costs $69.

Compared to a regular kitchen oven, air fryers are smaller and operate much faster using rapid air technology to produce heat.

The heat surrounds the food inserted into the air fryer and cooks the meal perfectly - leaving a crispy outer texture.

The handy device also heats up faster than an oven, has a shorter cooking time and is easier to clean.

Air fryers have also proven to be very versatile, as food enthusiasts have shared the range of dinner and dessert meals that can be cooked using the product.

Earlier this month, a savvy woman impressed others online with her recipe for an oozing single-serve butterscotch cake using her Kmart air fryer.

While another amateur chef revealed how to cook crunchy roast potatoes in a 3-in-1 air fryer.

The Aldi eight litre air fryer will be sold at selected stores and is only available while stocks last.
