EPL RESTART HANGS IN THE BALANCE

Despite the English Premier League agreeing to restart in early June and players returning to training, pressure is starting to mount from those that oppose the plan. In the red corner, you have several unnamed Premier League stars stating that they feel very uncomfortable about returning in the current environment. Influential pundits such as Gary Neville have come out and said they strongly oppose the restart while France cancelling their season and other European countries considering following suit, may trigger the collapse of the plan. In the green corner, British PM Boris Johnson has given the go-ahead for the restart, the EPL is in agreement and the mountain of TV cash in the balance suggests that it would be financial suicide if it didn't proceed.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: We believe that the financial fall out and massive loss of jobs outweighs the minor risk of infection if strict testing and health protocols are in play. That said, it's a 50/50 call at this stage on whether the season goes ahead.

POCH TO NEWCASTLE?

Word on Tyneside is that Newcastle and their new billionaire owners have lined up Mauricio Pochettino as first prize to become their new manager. The rumoured deal of £19m per year would make Pochettino the third-highest paid manager in the game behind Diego Simeone (£36m) and Pep Guardiola (£20m).

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Get it done! Poch is one of the best in the world. He will attract top names to the club and also develop young talent at the same time.

TYSON THROWS SOME PUNCHY ONE-LINERS

Never one to mince his words, Mike Tyson came out with some classic one-liners in a recent interview. When asked if he considered himself the greatest of all time, Tyson responded, "I'll beat any man born from his mother. I just wouldn't say that directly about any of the heroes from the past. But, deep down, I don't believe that any fighter from the past can beat me." He added, "At my best, I thought I was the greatest fighter from Achilles, through the Art of War, since the beginning of God, since the beginning of time - I was invincible."

Though we admit not breaking, we couldn't let the news that former Springbok coach, Allister Coetzee, had been let go by his Japanese club the Canon Eagles, pass without comment. With results over his two seasons in charge reading 12th and ninth out of 16, we are not surprised that he got the chop.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: It would be fair to say that the Eagles did not soar under his guidance, much like the Boks did not have much spring in their step when he was coach.
