Partha Sarathi Ray has appealed to people not to venture outdoors without donning masks. He also requested people to wear
masks made at home and avoid using those required by
frontline workers.
“I have seen many people wearing
N95 masks. But they should know that these
highly protective masks are required by
doctors and health workers. We, the common people, have the option to wear
homemade ones. We can cover our
mouth and nose with a clean cloth, handkerchief or scarf,” he said.
He also said that whenever he steps out of his house, he wears homemade masks. “I mostly try not to step out. But when I have to, I usually tie a clean cloth around my mouth and nose,” he said, urging people to do the same.
