Mohali: Flesh trade racket busted, woman held

MOHALI: Cracking the whip against flesh trade, the Mohali police have arrested a 32-year-old woman, an Assam native, after one of the girls managed to give her a slip. The 22-year-old victim then managed to approach the police.
According to the cops, the accused had brought some girls to Delhi in February on the pretext of getting them jobs, but she pushed them into immoral trade.
“In March, they all came to Derabassi. The 22-year-old victim, who was kept here for four days, somehow managed to escape and informed us following which a raid was conducted and the miscreant was nabbed,” a cop said.
“The accused was produced in a local court and now she has been sent to judicial custody,” said Narinder Kumar , investigating officer in the case.
