Due to the lockdown of the COVID-19, efforts have now begun to revive the wheels of the stalled Indian Railways. Trains will run on some special rail routes in May but in a new look. Particular air-conditioned (AC) vehicles are being removed by replacing the normal windows with passenger coaches.

The fare will also be charged for Sleeper Class. There will be only 25 seats in a bogie of long-distance carriage. Due to this, social distancing will be followed well. Special vehicles are being prepared to bring the military forces on holiday.

According to an official of the operational wing of the railway, the ministry is considering several options. Looking at the instructions we are getting right now, it seems that Corona's lockdown will have a long-term impact. It may be that the year passes by following social distancing. The safety of the people is the most important for us, so the Railways has said in all its zones that they should start the process of converting 'AC' trains to 'Non AC'. Five thousand trains have also been prepared for the isolation ward.

According to the official, due to being centralized AC in Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains, their glass will also be removed. This advice has been given to the Railways by the Ministry of Health. The fare in these trains will also be charged for the sleeper class. These trains will be trialed while bringing the Central Military Forces. After that, other changes will be made if needed.

Trains are possible on these routes

Many trains will run on one route, but their stop in the middle will be very limited. For example, there will be no stop on the Delhi-Bhatinda route. Similarly, the road related to the operation of trains on other routes is also being prepared.

There is a possibility of movement of trains on routes going through UP, Assam, Goa, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Patna, Jammu and Kashmir, MP and Punjab, etc.
