The number of patients infected with the coronavirus is increasing continuously across the country. Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Health has made it clear on Tuesday that no firm evidence has yet been found to treat the coronavirus with plasma therapy. Health Ministry's Joint Secretary Love Aggarwal said that all claims about this are wrong and we are still at the experimental stage.
The Health Ministry cited the Indian Medical Council (ICMR) as saying that the corona cannot be treated with plasma therapy. It has not been approved by ICMR. It can be tried only in the form of trial and research. He said that if the guidelines issued for this are not followed properly, it can also be dangerous. ICMR has started a study on this. Till then no claim should be made regarding this.
New data regarding coronavirus was released today in the joint press conference of the Ministry of Health and Home Affairs. In the last 24 hours, 1543 new cases of coronavirus have been reported, said Luv Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health. The recovery rate, in this case, is 23.3 percent.
What is plasma therapy?
Plasma therapy is an old technique. When the Spanish flu spread in the world, its use proved very effective. Plasma is taken from the blood of the patients who are cured by this therapy and offered to the sick people. Antibodies from cured patients help sick people recover. This causes the virus to weaken in the patient's body.
