Sprinklr: Ramesh Chennithala tells Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan to go for probe by CBI

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, on Monday, said that the ‘leak of Covid-19 patients’ data from Kannur and Kasaragod districts’ has corroborated the concerns raised by the opposition regarding the state government’s agreement with US-based Sprinklr.
He also sent a missive to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan demanding a CBI inquiry into the ‘data leak’. “The casual approach of state government led to the leak of data of patients in Kannur and Kasargod. The opposition had pointed out a similar laxity on the part of the government while signing the pact with Sprinklr, which the high court also observed while instructing the government to incorporate strict clauses to prevent data leak,” Ramesh said.
In his letter to the CM, Ramesh said strict measures were required to protect the credibility of the state’s health sector and personal data of patients in the backdrop of the data leak. “The situation also calls for a comprehensive CBI inquiry, which I had already demanded into the Sprinklr deal,” he said.
