AP SSC exams to begin after two weeks of completion of lockdown: AP edu minister

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh education minister Adimulapu Suresh said that the state government will conduct SSC examinations after two weeks of completion of lockdown. He participated in a video conference conducted with union Human resources minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and explained various measures taken by the education department in online teaching.
He also said that the students will get two weeks time to prepare for the exam. Addressing a media conference, Suresh clarified that there is no proposal to pass SSC students without conducting exams. "Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked us to prepare the schedule for SSC exams. Two weeks time will be given after completion of lockdown for the preparation of students. Measures will be taken to maintain social distancing at exam centres," Suresh said.
We have decided to continue mid day meals for the students during summer holidays and requested the union government to extend the support for this scheme. We have requested the centre to release pending funds due to us under various heads in the Human resources ministry, he added.
