MYSURU: Wife of a constable has allegedly committed suicide after apparently killing their five-year-old daughter at the police quarters in Hebbal in north Mysuru on Monday.
Vidyashree (30) and her daughter were found hanging, said Hebbal police. She may have strangulated daughter with a sari before hanging herself from a ceiling fan.
The incident happened after Harish, a constable with police control room, left to work late in the evening on Sunday. It came to light when the constable returned home at 9am in the morning.
DCP (Law and Order) AN Prakash Gowda said the homemaker has left a death note. She hasn’t held anyone responsible for her extreme step. Probe is under way.
