Repairs set for Wednesday on Veterans Memorial Bridge

FALL RIVER - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced that it will be performing repairs to the northeast traffic gate on the Veterans Memorial Bridge over the Taunton River between Fall River and Somerset. The repairs will be conducted on Wednesday, April 29, according to a press release

Traffic will be stopped intermittently on Route 6 in both directions using the drawbridge traffic signals from 6 to 9 a.m.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
